| David Khor’s resume in the entertainment industry consists of a list of “ who’s who”, particularly in the field of music performance and artist management. Trained musically from the age of 7, David has not looked back since then. His musical explorations has taken him around the Asia region as a multi-instrumentalist in performing bands throughout hotels and luxury cruise liner ships. | He has also served on piano/ keyboards with the Ministry of Culture of Arts and Tourism Malaysia musical combo. Among the artistes backed are Ning Baizura, Fauziah Latiff, Ziana Zain, Amy of Search fame. With this troupe, he has traveled extensively promoting his home-country Malaysia through music in Asean Tourism Forums, namely in Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and Brunei. In 1997, he wrote a song entitled “ You’ve Got A Hold On Me” and emerged a top ten finalist in the TV3 national songwriting competition. |
After the days of touring and musical rendezvous, he then ventured into the field of artist booking and management when he was the entertainment manager with Star Cruises Hong Kong Ltd. Among the artistes that he has “rubbed shoulders” with are namely, Jacky Cheung, Alan Tam, Teresa Carpio, Eric Moo, Kenny Bee and various TVB actors/actresses. Apart from musically trained, David is also adept at the travel and tourism business having obtained a Diploma in Tourism Management from the University of Toulouse, France. What makes this skill equally important in the entertainment industry ?,,,One might ask,,,,,? It is for the fact that as a professional artiste and band promoter, one needs to have a clear understanding of the hospitality and travel industry where entertainers/artists alike are well taken care of to ensure peak performances at all times.
